8.   Approve agreement with East Tennessee Children's Hospital for provision of an Asthma Team for coordination of pulmonary function testing for Knox County Schools students  
9.   Approve purchase of two (2) single axle dump trucks for $93,639.00 each from Worldwide Equipment, Inc. for Knox County Schools Maintenance and Operations Department (Bid 1994)  
10.   Approve request of West High School to name the baseball field house in memory of Mr. Jim Shelby

A.   Approve Comprehensive Grant Application for Special Education Services (IDEA) with the State of Tennessee Department of Education for Fiscal Year 2015 for $12,219,068.00 - RECOMMENDED  
B.   Approve Comprehensive Grant Application for Preschool Special Education Services (IDEA) with the State of Tennessee Department of Education for Fiscal Year 2015 for $287,606.00 - RECOMMENDED  
C.   Approve Local Consolidated Grant Application for Federal Funding with the State of Tennessee Department of Education for Fiscal Year 2015 for $15,597,083.00 - RECOMMENDED
 
D.   Approve Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee Department of Education for the provision of participation in the statewide Innovative Educator Network in the amount of $31,118.40 for year 2014 and $119,031.43 for year 2015 - RECOMMENDED  
8.   Contracts
A.   Approve contract with Education Management Systems Inc., Meals Plus for a Point of Sale System for the Knox County Schools School Nutrition Department for the term of June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2015 in the amount of $195,953.75 for the base system cost and $42,810.00 for annual maintenance with the option for two additional one-year terms (RFP 1933) - RECOMMENDED  
B.   Approve contract with TRA School Software Solutions for provision and maintenance of School Activity Fund accounting software at a cost of $2,940.00 for a one-time installation fee during year one (1) and annual recurring software costs and annual hosting fee of $41,580.00 for years one-five (1-5) (RFP 2007) - RECOMMENDED  
C.   Approve Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Tennessee for University-Supported Community Schools programs - RECOMMENDED  
D.   Approve agreement with Waste Management for waste collection services for a term beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2019 (Bid 2009) - RECOMMENDED  
E.   Approve contract with Randa Solutions for a Web-Based Professional Learning Management System at a cost of $2,500.00 for implementation, training and set-up services during year one (1), additional training at a rate not to exceed $1,500.00 per year during years two-five (2-5), and $11.00 per user per year (RFP 1989) - RECOMMENDED

Anyone wishing to speak to the Board during Public Forum must sign up IN ADVANCE by calling the Board of Education Office at 594-1630 or by signing up with the Board's Vice-Chair or Executive Assistant at the meeting prior to the beginning of the meeting. This Public Forum is open to any educational topic.
